O.F.F. is based on the idea of art- and knowledge-transfer between Japan and Europe. It is a frameset for international projects, organizations and networks, in concerns of artistic and creative development, focusing on intermediate cultural reconfiguration of urban space. Additional, this knowledge-base and social hub offers a sustainable platform of Austrian culture and art. Within the scope of the »Austria - Japan Year 2009«, the foundation is a venue and information-office for cooperation-activities, exchange-programs and other key aspects.

O.F.F.は、芸術を通じた交流や、多様な知識の共有をテーマに、日本とヨーロッパの文化の架け橋となるべく活動をしています。国際的な活動をしている、機関やネットワークやプロジェクトが、創造的な方法で展開していくための基盤として、都市空間を文化的に再利用する新たな可能性を模索し提案することが、私たちの活動目的です。また、2009年の「日本オーストリア交流年2009」に向けて、交流事業活動、フェスティバル、展覧会などのプログラムを企画するなど、オーストリアの文化と芸術の情報発信を長期的に行い、『人と知識が集まる拠点』として文化交流を行っていきます。
